We hope you and your loved ones have remained healthy and safe through these trying times. Though our normal lives will likely take time to return to, a slight easing of restrictions has been allowed to include areas of health care outside of the COVID-19 response.

On Monday April 20, Gov. John Bel Edwards stated that Louisiana health care providers could resume treating patients with non-urgent, time sensitive needs. On April 24, the Louisiana Department of Health more clearly defined the nature of “time sensitive needs”, which includes a fairly broad list of procedures. Dental work performed strictly for cosmetic needs should be further postponed. However, anyone with gum disease, active tooth decay, TMJ issues, or mechanical instability (misaligned bite, clenching/grinding) can and should be seen. Preventative measures, like appointments with a hygienist, oral DNA testing, and ozone therapy are all among the list of procedures and appointments allowed.

Starting Monday April 27, we will be back to our normal business hours, treating new and existing patients with the aforementioned needs. There are a number of new protocols that will be implemented to protect everyone, so please stay tuned for a follow up text or email with details about those measures.
